Once the Data Collection Panel opens, follow these steps to set up and start recording:
Choose meaningful names.
Avoid vague or overly detailed names—keep it clear and concise.
It represents the number of demonstrations recorded.
It is auto-incremented on each successful recording.
No manual adjustment is needed, as it keeps track of recorded demonstrations.
Click Start Recording to begin data collection.
When you start recording, you will be prompted to Grab the Robot arm. Once the robot is in control, a progress bar will appear, indicating the recording is in progress.
Continue performing the desired task while the progress bar is running. If at any point it appears that the task cannot be completed or something didn’t work, you can choose to Cancel Recording.
The recording is completed once the progress bar reaches 100% (indicating that the set duration has been reached). At this point, one can choose:
Save Recording – This saves the recording locally first. In the background, the recording will automatically begin uploading to the Extend Robotics centralised storage server for future access and analysis. The Recording ID is automatically incremented, preparing it for the next demonstration recording.
Cancel Recording – This discards the current recording if it’s unsatisfactory or the task was not completed. After cancelling, one can immediately start a new recording, and the Recording ID will remain the same for the next attempt.
