Adding Cortex Connection

Steps to connect to a cortex.

First Time Connection

Follow the following steps to add a new Cortex:

1. Click on the Configuration tab in the wrist panel.

2. Press on the Cortex button, which will open the Active Cortex Panel.

3. Press on New button, which will open a new panel Connect to Cortex with IP and Port Input Fields.

4. Input the IP of the Cortex (Pre-set by ER or User configured in section Cortex IP Configuration) and port of the any robot or sensor.

5. Press Connect this will open a new panel Establishing Connection which will list all the robots and sensors configured on the cortex the AMAS will try to connect.

6. Establishing Connection panel will automatically switch to Active Cortex Panel when all the connections to various robots and sensors are established.

7. There will be an entry for the connected cortex in Active Cortex Panel detailing the name and IP of the cortex.

Note: In case the AMAS fails to connect to the Cortex, no robots or sensors will be listed in the Establishing Connection panel. An error will appear and the empty Establishing Connection panel will automatically switch to Active Cortex Panel and no cortex entry will appear.

While establishing connections to a Sensor for the first time, the robot linkage panel will appear. Please select a robot the sensor need to be attached and the mount position. This can later be changed by modifying the sensor settings.

After all the sensors are added, they need to calibrate them using the information provided in the Sensor Position Calibration
