With the introduction of singular cortex devices, we have released the Extend Robotics , a web interface connected to your cortex device as well as the Robots and Sensors. It has a built-in functionality for updating the firmware for the designated RoboKit(s) and SenseKit(s).
For hardware delivered with version 9.3 or earlier, you must contact so we can set up your Command Console account, allowing for seamless future updates.
Stay up-to-date with the latest improvements and enhancements by keeping your Cortex, RoboKits and SenseKits firmware updated. This section guides you through the process of performing over-the-air firmware updates for seamless device maintenance.
1. Login to the Command Console and you should be redirected to the Dashboard.
2. Click on Manage your device for the particular device you would like to update. Note that the device must be online and connected to the internet for any changes to take place.
3. Navigate to the Update your Device Firmware dropdown:
4. Select the latest firmware version available (or whichever version you wish to update to)
5. Select the settings you would like to turn on and off for the firmware update. The device must be rebooted after the firmware update, and we recommend deleting old firmware installations.
6. When you are ready, click on the Update Firmware button
7. Upon a successful action creation, a little popup will appear. Click on View updates.
8. Check the status of your Update Firmware Action. The page refreshes every 15 seconds, or you can click on Refresh
