AMAS v2025.07
Important Note: Upgrading AMAS to the latest release will require an update of the Cortex firmware to support the features below.
New Hardware Support
MANUS MetaGloves Pro
High fidelity finger tracking support with MANUS MetaGloves Pro.
UR7e
Support for the new UR7e robot from Universal Robots
Inspire Robots Dextrous Hands RH56DFTP
Support for the new RH56DFTP Dextrous Hand
New Features
Model Training
Train your robot using imitation learning models (ACT, CNN-MLP) on data collected via AMAS, and then trigger the Model Training from the Command Console.
Deploying models
Trained models can be deployed to the Cortex from the Command Console.
AI Mode
Using AMAS, execute your trained model and automate your physical robot(s) using AI Mode inferencing.
Credit Management
The console now includes a built-in Credits system, enabling you to purchase Credits securely via Stripe. These Credits are stored directly in the Command Console and can be used for downloading datasets or training models.
Workspace
Set your virtual workspace to a room or open environment.
Admin Visibility Override
To protect your privacy and security, the console lets you manage what the Extend Robotics Admin and Support team can access. You can grant access to specific features when you need support and restrict access again to keep your confidential data secure.
Multi-Connection Handling
To increase safety of the operating robot, when multiple users connect to the same Cortex, the primary user will remain in control until they log out, whereupon the secondary user will assume control.
General Improvements and Bug Fixes
User Interface Improvements:
The colour of the robot changes to yellow when executing Record and Replay or AI Mode.
Functional Improvements:
Enhanced IK System. This derestricts the joint limits in AMAS to allow the full range of motion offered by the manufacturer. This provides a significant improvement to the user experience.
Voice Recognition: Performance improvements to cater for a wide range of users and simplify command structure.
Resolved an issue where the ROS Namespace was incompatible with DOBOT
Improved the functionality of using hand gestures with a controller.
Known Issues
The latest Meta Quest Link app version 79.0.0.1094.381 has caused hand tracking to fail across several of our devices. We have raised a support ticket with Meta to resolve this issue and will keep you updated.
Record & Replay: On occasions, the 'Execute' button must be pressed twice for the robot to execute the recorded movement.
