Over-the-Air Firmware Updates

Guide to Upgrade your Firmware of RoboKit and SenseKit through AMAS

The AMAS VR application comes with the built-in functionality of updating the firmware for the designated RoboKit(s) and SenseKit(s).

You need to complete the following pages of RoboKit and SenseKit upgrade respectively before you proceed any further in this section.:

SenseKit Manual Firmware Upgrade / Install

Stay up-to-date with the latest improvements and enhancements by keeping your RoboKits and SenseKits firmware updated. This section guides you through the process of performing over-the-air firmware updates for seamless device maintenance.

  1. Start with opening the Configuration tab and go to the Settings option.

  2. This will open the settings panel.

  3. Select Firmware Update. This should now open the Firmware Update panel.

  4. Fill in the Device IP, Device Port (Default: 8090) and Device Password of the device you want to update.

  5. Select the accurate type and model of the device and then select Download Firmware. It should open the Firmware Download Panel and start the download process.

  6. Once the download is complete, select Configure Firmware button to setup the settings for the firmware, based on the Device Type selected to Download Firmware the button will open,

    • For Device Type, RoboKit; Robokit Firmware Specific Settings Panel will open with some field being auto populated based on the selected Device Model during the firmware download.

    • For Device Type, Sensekit; Sensekit Firmware Specific Settings Panel will open with some field being auto populated based on the selected Device Model during the firmware download.

  7. Update the Required fields in the Firmware Specific Settings Panel, the information for the fields could be found in,

    1. For Robokit Firmware Specific Settings the field information could be found in step 9 of the robokit addition and configuration.

    2. For Sensekit Firmware Specific Settings the field information could be found in step 8 of the sensekit addition and configuration.

  8. Press Save to return to the Firmware Update panel, then select Flash Firmware button to finish the last step of the update on the panel.

  9. Once the status shows Firmware Installation Complete , Press Exit.

  10. Now exit the application and reboot the device that you just updated to enjoy the latest firmware.
